The Big5 Burger is the signature burger and the most ordered on the menu: beef ribeye, bacon, cheddar, guacamole, caramelized onion and Big5 sauce on a brioche bun. It's the main recommendation for first-time guests. For a clean, no-frills classic, order The Mighty Classic. For spice lovers, The Texican comes with jalapeños, guacamole and Spicy Mayo. The Double Double is the indulgent option with two patties and double cheddar. If you do not eat beef, the Chicken'N'Cheese and Halloumi Burger are solid alternatives. A complete burger guide is available on the blog, and the full menu has all the details and prices.

Who founded Big5?
Big5 American Diner was founded by Monica Ciobanu and her brother Claudiu Lucaci. They lived nine years in Huntington Beach, California, where Monica worked in catering (from driver to manager) and Claudiu built his experience in kitchens across Europe and the US. They returned to Iasi in 2020 and opened Big5 during the pandemic, at 17 Theodor Rascanu Street. Big5 is a family-owned restaurant — Monica handles administration, Claudiu runs the kitchen. The full story is on the blog, and more about the restaurant is on the About page.
What does the name Big5 mean?
The name Big5 refers to the five elements that define the restaurant experience: food, atmosphere, music, service and community. Each element matters equally — a great burger in an unpleasant space is not a complete experience, just as beautiful decor without serious food is only a backdrop. Big5 was designed as a place where all five align, every time.
